About Thingle Pather

I am a director in the technical department and often work closely with other business units within KPMG. I provide technical assistance and support on all aspects of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 and King III. I am the national coordinator of the Audit Committee Forum (ACF) which is an initiative of the Institute of Directors and sponsored by KPMG. The ACF primary mission over the years, and continues to be, is to communicate with audit committee members and share information relating to governance, risk, management, auditing, accounting and financial reporting, current issues, future changes and international development. The ACF facilitates interactive roundtable forums. The roundtables are exclusively for audit committee members, non-executive Directors and executive Directors who rely on audit committees, as well as other participants in the financial reporting process. The ACF operates through three Working Groups that act as a technical resource or sounding board for current issues. In addition to my direct professional responsibilities I also represent KPMG as a member on the South African Institute of Chartered Accountant’s Ad-Hoc Committee on Corporate Law and Legal Compliance.I am a director in the technical department and often work closely with other business units within KPMG.
